We are located in the heart of downtown Dodgeville, one block from the oldest courthouse in Wisconsin.
Years ago, I (Bob) owned a catering business in Madison, WI and while preparing a pasta bar for an event, an employee proclaimed my Alfredo sauce to be the most “bitchin” she’d ever had. I liked the sound of it then, and hopefully you’ll agree that it still applies – just now to my BBQ sauces.   
When you think about Southwest Wisconsin, you’d hardly envision this area as a BBQ hotbed.  It’s not Memphis or Kansas City, but it’s home to cows, cheese, beer … and Bob’s Bitchin’ BBQ. 
My sauces have been used by friends and family for years, and now it’s time to share them with you, my new friends, through my website:  Bob’s Bitchin’ BBQ Sauce and Stuff.  These six sauces are just the beginning; I promise there will be more … stuff.

Plato, the ancient Greek philosopher once said, “necessity is the mother of invention” and this holds true for why Jorge Alvarez, Barmalade® co-founder, set out to create this premium cocktail mixer.
While serving as bar manager for one of Dallas’ exclusive fine dining restaurants, Jorge noticed his clientele becoming frustrated because they had to wait so long for specialty cocktails to be hand-muddled. Also, cocktails were returned because the taste wasn’t consistent, resulting in dissatisfied clients and lower revenue.
So, Jorge devised a unique process to eliminate the time-intensive steps related to hand-muddled cocktails. The delicious result is Barmalade®, offered in several unique and memorable flavor combinations like Berry-Basil, Mango-Habanero, Strawberry-Kiwi, Grapefruit-Elderflower and Blackberry-Mint.
Today Jorge works diligently on creating new flavor combinations to expand the Barmalade® product offering. He also greatly enjoys working closely with on premise customers to create phenomenal Barmalade® cocktails and mocktails for their menus. 


We have always been makers. Our friendship has revolved around cooking, canning, fermenting and now shrub making.

In the summer of 2015, we stumbled upon a shrub recipe and started playing around. The next summer, when Layne found out she was pregnant we realized that shrubs are the perfect replacement for alcohol. We started making shrub recipes using all the local produce we could get our hands on. Soon after, our refrigerators were brimming with shrubs.

At this point, we began taking them to parties and social gatherings…. and that’s when we discovered that shrubs aren’t just great for pregnant women, they fill a party void, because they are great for everyone the non-drinkers, drinkers, and kids alike.

We knew we were on to something…low and behold Siren Shrub Company was born right under our noses.
